The Highland Budokan Open 2012 with be a Judo Scotland Grand Prix event and will take place on Saturday 19th May 2012.
Highland Budokan Open 2011 kicked off in the Inverness Sports centre on saturday 4th June with 180 fighting from all across Scotland from 27 different Scottish Clubs. The day ran smoothly from start to finish, with Highland Budokan taking 33 of the medals ( 9 Gold, 10 Silver & 14 Bronze) Also taking the Player of the Day shield (sponsored by Tesco Extra Inverness) was Roy Shepherd U81 fighter in the Senior Mens. The day couldnt have happened without the support of the Club Committee and club members and families of which so may gave up their time to help. The event was sponsored by, Acorn Signs, Tesco Extra, Fionnar Water, and Highland & Island Fire Service and Rescue. We would like to thank them all for there support in making the tournament a great success

Highland Budokan Open 2011 Weigh In Times: Weigh-in will be open to all competitors from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Friday 3rd June 2011 at the Inverness Leisure Centre Main Sports Hall. On the day of the competition the weigh-in will be open from 8.00am to 9.00am in the Projectile Room. Order of the Day There will be a timeline screen for a full break down of estimated times for when each category will be on the mat. The order of the day will be Seniors on first, along with Under 12’s. Once the Seniors have finished we will move onto the remaining Under 12’s then the Under 16’s. When all of the Senior Categories are finished we will be presenting them with their medals. When the Under 12’s and Under 16’s are finished we will present their medal together.
