Club Information Highland Budokan Judo Club was founded in 1993 by Sensei Robert Inglis. The Club is a not for profit organisation and a Registered Charity (SC040651). Originally HBJC was based at Inverness Sports Centre, but over the years it has spread and now trains in Inverness (Inverness Sports Centre and Millburn Academy), Dingwall, Culloden, Farr and Nairn. HBJC has grown into a nationally respected Judo club, through its hard work in the communities it is based in and through the successful Judoka (Judo Players) it has produced. To date the Club has produced Scottish and British Champions, as well as Judoka who have represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Championships and Great Britain at varying Competitions. Many players have also represented Scotland and Great Britain is various squads through-out Europe.
The mission of the HBJC is to foster and develop the practise and spirit of Judo in the Highland Area. The club is a member of the British Judo Association and the Judo Scotland. The aims and objectives of HBJC are to encourage it members to be self confident members of their communities, to be healthy, both mentally and physically and to provide an inexpensive martial art to its members.
